BOINGO APPOINTS ALLEN PAN DIRECTOR OF NETWORK STRATEGY FOR ASIA-PACIFIC

Senior Strategist Tapped to Lead Expansion of Boingo® Roaming System Throughout Asian Markets

SANTA MONICA, Calif. - - July 19, 2005 - Boingo Wireless today announced the addition of Allen J. Pan as the company’s new director of network strategy for Asia, Australia, New Zealand and India. Pan will oversee the expansion of the Boingo Roaming System throughout the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in China, by fostering new relationships with Wi-Fi hotspot operators in these markets.

Pan will be based in Santa Monica and report to Colby Goff, senior vice president of network strategy.

“Asia-Pacific is growing dramatically – especially in China – making it an imperative that we grow the Boingo Roaming System in the region to meet the demand for convenient, wireless communications,” Goff said. “Already we have more than 2,100 hotspots in the region and we’re looking to Allen’s technical expertise along with his intimate knowledge of the culture and Asian business community to greatly expand that network.”

Pan most recently served as the Asia Pacific senior strategist for MCI’s International Strategic Ventures & Alliances organization, charged with expanding the company’s international communications partnering and alliance strategy. Prior to that, he was stationed in Beijing as a vice president with China Networks International Co. Ltd., where he built and managed sales channels for both US and Asian markets. Pan has held a variety of management positions with telecommunications companies such as Exodus Communications, Inc., GTE Internetworking and PSINet. He holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia. He speaks Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese and Taiwanese.

Boingo gives business travelers the best choice of Wi-Fi hotspots by combining more than 18,000 locations from 100 leading Wi-Fi operators into one worldwide network and allowing users to roam onto any of these locations with a single subscription using Boingo's free Wi-Fi client software.

Boingo also partners with service providers to allow their users to access these hotspots through the Boingo Platform Services program. The program is designed as a turnkey solution to allow partners to offer their own Wi-Fi service quickly and cost effectively by providing customized client software, and a full suite of back-office billing, roaming, mediation and clearinghouse services. To date, the company has announced Platform Services partnerships with BT Infonet, Earthlink, Fiberlink, Nextel Communications, MCI, and Telecom Italia.
